Fixed Systems & Equipment Sub-Component Parametric Plots

The plots below show some of the preliminary parametrics of the sub-component weight groups that sum to the Overarching Systems & Equipment Weights for single engine monoplane WWII era aircraftdescribed in this website.

Caveats

Please note that;
  1. Currently everything is still very much a work in progress and subject to further refinement and revision as I work to verify the data that I have currently transcribed from the references, and as I work to collect dimensional and powering data on the specific aircraft that I have weight data for.
  2. All weight units are in pounds and power units are in Horsepower.
  3. In the plot for the in the Electrical Systems weights there are a few point shown as 0lb. This is becuase there is a note in the database that indicates those weights are included in the Furnishings weight.
  4. In the plot of Electronics/Communications weights there are two point for Trainer typeaircraft that are very low/near zero.  For those two aircraft the listed Electronics/Communications weight listed in Reference [2] was only on the order of 2 to 3 lb.
As noted on the General Weight Summary Format page, the overarching Fixed Systems & Equipment Group weight is equalto the sum of the weights of the; The seven plots below show the relationship of "Instruments", "Surface Controls", "Furnishings", "Electrical Equipment and Systems", "Hydraulics Systems", "Electronics/Communications Equipment", and the "Armament Provisions, Armor Plate, and Bullet Proof Glass" weights versus "Basic Mission Gross Weight", respectively.
