Structural, Propulsion System, and Systems &
Equipment Parametric Plots
The
plots below show
some of the
preliminary parametrics that have been developed showing the
Overarching Weights of the Structural Group, Propulsion Group and Fixed
Systems & Equipment Groups for the single engine
monoplane WWII era
aircraft described on this website.

Caveats
Please
note
that;
- Currently
everything is still
very much a work in progress and subject to further refinement and
revision as I work to verify the data that I have currently transcribed
from the references, and as I work to collect dimensional and powering
data on the specific aircraft that I have weight data for.
- All weight
units are in pounds and power units are in Horsepower.
As
noted on
the Weight Summary Format
Page,
Basic Empty Weight is equal to the sum of Structural
Weight, Propulsion Plant Weight, and Systems & Equipment
Weight.
The
first plot below show Empty Wt as a Function of
Basic Mission Gross Weight. The next plots show how
the
total/overarching Structural Weight and Systems & Equipment
Weights compare
to
Basic Mission Gross Weight, as well as how Propulsion Plant Weights
compare to the listed Take-Off Power Rating of the engines installed on
each aircraft.
