Aircraft Carrier Flight Deck Layout

From various sources that I have read [Ref CV XYZ] the layout and configuration of the aircraft lifts, arresting gear (if fitted), and catapults or ski ramps (if fitted) can have a significant impact on the overall arrangment of a ship.  As such I have currently primarily focused on investigating the impacts that lift location and arrestor gear and catapults play on laying out a ship's flight deck, and as such the current spreadsheet is more focused on CATOBAR, and I guess STOBAR vessels, but I hope to soon clean up these calculation to ensure that STOVL and/or VTOL type vessels, which do not require arrestor gear, can also be accomodated. 

For aircraft carriers I have broken the Flight Deck Layout into three parts, as follows;

• 1st the user defines the type of arrestor gear used, the number of wires/pendants, the wire spacing and certain key features of the largest aircraft carried.
• 2nd the user defines the general shape of the flight deck by defining certain key points such as the deck breadth at the bow and port and starbord overhang geometries, etc, as we;; as the angle of the "landing zone" to the centerline of the ship.  Based on this the spreadsheet then determines the required landing zone geometry and basic 'safe parking' lines.
• 3rd the user then has the opportunity to add in the elevators/lifts and catapults.
